Lush-US Drinks: Foodzilla’s Mazel Tov Martini

There’s this REALLY great kosher spot in West Hollywood called Aroma & with everything that you order it comes with this banging Israeli salad, one night I wondered how cool it would be if I could have a martini version… yes I’m ALL about if I’m going to be drinking my calories Mama’s going to make it WORTH IT! The salad is so refreshing… chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, lemon juice & parsley (I’ve had it at another spot with cilantro) drizzled in olive oil & sprinkled with Feta cheese to… DIE… FOR! <3

Vodka is my poison of choice… perfect for infusing flavors & I promise you after you see this episode… VODKA will be your poison of choice also. My Boo Chef Stu & I had our work cut out for us by a former Celebrity Chef from South AFrica that hired us to cater her husband’s 35th birthday party… straight comedy I tell ya! Hmmm time for some new shot game rules. Take a shot every time Melissa walks in the kitchen, Stuart says “really”, I roll my eyes, Melissa calls Stuart’s food “stew”, you see one of Stuart’s Tupperware products, see any of my pink crap & every time I say “Mollywop”… yup there is a serious calling for a mollywop in this ep… CHEERS my loves!

1 Bottle of Vodka (Recommend Rain Organics)
3 Hothouse Cucumbers, thinly sliced (mandoline works PERFECT for this)
1 Tbl Chopped Cilantro (or parsley, parsley gives it an earthier flavor)
2 Meyer Lemons, thinly sliced & seeded
Olive Juice
Cherry Tomatoes
Cocktail Onions
Feta Cheese Stuffed Olives


In a Large jug or Apothecary jar add entire bottle of vodka, sliced lemons, cucumbers & chopped herbs.
Close tightly & in a cool, dark area of your kitchen or pantry allow to infuse for no less than 3 days, the flavor after 5 is SUPERB! Ooh if you have one of these glass servers for lemonade… it’s PERFECT for infusing

Ladle infusion into a martini shaker with ice & a drop of olive juice (the dirtier the better) & shake rigorously. Pour into chilled martini glass.

Garnish with a cocktail pick skewered with cherry tomato, pearl onion, feta cheese stuffed olives & add a slice of cucumber to the bottom of the glass…. MAZEL TOV!
